The Kew Society supports Silver Birches

Dawn, Natasha, Anne and Adam, all residents at Silver Birches in Richmond, were delighted to accept a very generous £1,000 donation from The Kew Society. Michael Glazebrook, Chairman, presented the cheque and met several of the residents and some members of staff. He said, “The Kew Society is very pleased to be able to make this donation . It’s good to know that the money will benefit people living in the local community.”
Silver Birches’ Manager, Bose Ogunlolu, said, “We’re extremely grateful to The Kew Society for this wonderful donation, which really will make a big difference to the people we support here at Silver Birches. We’re going to use these funds towards installing a fully automated entry system to the flats, which will give residents a far greater degree of independence.” Many of the residents at Silver Birches use wheelchairs or have mobility difficulties. The new system will mean they’ll no longer have to rely on others to help them come and go through their own front door; something that has understandably, been very frustrating.
A big thank you to The Kew Society for this very kind gift!
