User story – Chris

Chris, who lives at Linden Cottage, a care home in Uckfield, Sussex, loves to use the brand new sensory room. This is located in a large insulated log cabin in the garden, and can be accessed at any time. A local sensory facility that the residents used had been closed down, so a fundraising appeal to provide them with a much-needed service was launched.

Chris is very musical and loves to play the guitar, piano and bongo drums. He particularly benefits from the sensory room as he is now blind, but can feel the music through the specialist water bed, and enjoy the sounds and rhythms created in the room.
