There is a very warm and happy atmosphere at Linden Cottage, which opened in 1999. Originally a bungalow, it has been extended over 2 floors and a lift has been installed to provide easily accessible accommodation for 6 residents, all of whom have multiple disabilities. It is conveniently situated in a quiet residential cul-de-sac, a few minutes’ walk from the town’s main street.

The enthusiastic staff team support and encourage each of the residents to live their lives the way they choose. This makes it a busy household, as each of them enjoys going out and about to follow their own interests which include, music, swimming and trampolining. They are fortunate to have their own transport, making it easier to get around. Situated in a log cabin in the garden, they now have a well equipped multi-sensory room. This is used on a daily basis, for individual and group therapies or relaxation.

Linden Cottage is very much a part of the community and the residents we support here enjoy being involved in Uckfield life.
