Timber Grove is a large purpose-built bungalow accommodating 12 people. It is set in extensive grounds on the edge of Rayleigh. There is also a separate flat, where a further 3 people are supported to manage their daily lives, enabling them to enjoy a greater degree of independence.

All the residents are encouraged and supported to follow their own interests, both at home and out in the local community. Some attend local adult education courses, and a range of leisure and social activities are also easily accessible. Professional services, for example from physiotherapists, music therapists and drama groups, regularly happen at Timber Grove.

Residents enjoy support from family, friends and neighbours, as well as from a number of community groups who, through fundraising activities, have helped with specific projects and the purchase of pieces of special equipment over the years.
