Huw’s is situated in a quiet residential road about a mile from Nottingham city centre. There are 2 homes on this large site, linked by a walkway, with an attractive accessible garden between.

The original, old house has recently been converted to provide 2 4-bedroom flats, which are fully equipped to meet the high needs of the residents who all have complex disabilities. A new house for a further 6 people, with similar needs, has been built in the grounds.

All the residents have their own bedrooms, individually furnished and decorated to personal taste. They are supported and encouraged to take an active role in the running of their own homes, and to acquire new skills so that they can live with a greater degree of independence.

A well equipped sensory room which is shared between the 2 houses is very well used and residents are all supported to follow their individual interests; from football and bowling to horse riding and carriage driving.

Huw’s currently has a 2* Good CQC rating. Due to a change in legislation, CQC stopped awarding quality ratings under the Care Standards Act from July 2010. For more information please visit the CQC website.
