Supported Living – Susan
Susan has lived at Lorrraine Road since 1979. This is a supported living service in Altrincham, Cheshire.
Susan has her own flat and loves cooking. Helen, a volunteer, helps her once a week to bake biscuits and cakes.
“I look after my own money and the staff help me too. I like spending it on lunches, magazines, concerts and saving for holidays. Last year I went to Florida and swam with the dolphins which was great.”
Susan enjoys having her brothers round to visit. They usually bring her young nephews too.
Asked if she would change anything about where she lives, Susan said “No, maybe just the curtains! And I’d like a paid job!”
