Case Study: Marilyn

Marilyn volunteered for 9 months at On Track, a busy Day Service in Petersfield. She has since become a paid bank worker there and helps many Members with a range of activities.

As a volunteer, she worked alongside staff to support a small team of Members to volunteer at the Triangle Café, providing a popular catering service. The café is located within the village community centre in Liss to provide lunches to centre users and the public.

Marilyn says that she was well-supported and really enjoyed her role, finding it both satisfying and fun. It was Marilyn’s patience, firmness, humour, reliability and popularity which made her the ideal volunteer, and we’re pleased that she’s now joined the staff.
